A script goes through several drafts and revisions before getting on screen. I believe the
Network draft is the version sent to the network for notes. One or more drafts may come before the Network draft. The
Production draft is first version sent to the cast and crew who will be filming the episode. Changes after the Production draft are sent out in
Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green and
Goldenrod revisions (in that order). There are other revision colors after Goldenrod, but
Moonlight never got that far.
The chart below lists all Moonlight script drafts and revisions that I know about, along with the dates they were issued. Dates in bold
are the script versions that this site has available to review. We all know that TV shows are produced on a tight schedule, but seeing the dates laid out together really hits home how fast the
Moonlight writers churned out scripts!
